Kyle obtained his Bachelor’s degree from Washington State University, and then went on to become a TEFL-certified English teacher. He has been teaching English for almost ten years. He has taught students from around the world, including students in Korea. Kyle firmly believes in student-centered approaches to teaching, and likes to think of the English language classroom as a hub for collaboration. He likes to base his lessons around his students’ interests, goals, and their individual learning styles. As a practitioner of the communicative approach to language teaching, he believes in the importance of communication in the classroom and developing students’ confidence through practice. Kyle specializes in student engagement and technology-mediated language learning, as well as in the development of speaking, writing, reading, and listening skills. He enjoys practicing pronunciation with students in fun and engaging ways, and basing his teaching around the latest developments in language pedagogy. Kyle lives in Spain with his family and in his spare time, he likes to cook, play golf, and do yoga.
